Small-closet habits that actually stick
A small closet is rarely a space problem. It’s usually a too-many-things-I-don’t-wear problem. Before buying organisers, spend one evening finding out what you actually use.
A simple test: turn all your hangers the wrong way round. Each time you wear something, hang it back the normal way. After a season, the hangers still facing the wrong way show you what can go.
- Use the same slim hangers throughout. They save a surprising amount of rail space.
- Fold knitwear instead of hanging it, so it keeps its shape.
- Keep out-of-season clothes in a box under the bed.
- One in, one out: when something new arrives, something old leaves.
None of this needs a whole weekend. Ten minutes here and there is enough.
